How this tool works

The check uses our local IP intelligence, server-side DNS resolver, cached standards-based registration data, or first-party observations. It does not expose your browser directly to a list of outside providers.

Understand the limits

IP location is approximate, DNS changes can remain cached, and privacy or reputation classifications are probabilistic. An IP address is not proof of a person’s identity or exact home address.
