If you have just purchased a new Comcast or Xfinity router and would like to access the admin panel, you can do so by connecting your computer with the router and opening your web browser.
You can enter the address 10.0.0.1 or https://10.0.0.1 and then press Enter.
The best thing you can do is not to type http://10.0.0.0.1, http://10.0.0.0.1, 10.0.01, or 1.0.0.0.1 because these addresses do not exist and will result in a server error.
Once you are on the login page you must enter username and password which is sually different for every router manufecturer. Most likely the login username and passsword should be on the back of Comcast or Xfinity router.
Once you have logged into the router, you can make changes to router setting, change default router IP address and even change admin username and password.
If you cannot log into the router or if you cannot find the router's default username and password, please find the list here: Default Router passwords
